About this Blog
I became a believer on January 20, 2016, at age 33, on a flight home from a business trip. Through His grace, I received the richness of life, a peace in my heart and a purpose to pursue.
I am a husband and a father to two boys and a girl. I aim to live my life as God designed it—with “a will to obey (God’s will as revealed in the Scriptures), a work to do (not just in the work of his job, but also the work in his home, church and community), and a woman to love (his wife).”*
I’m an American and, like most Americans, I am the son of immigrants who came to America in search of a better life. I believe that despite our faults, failings and imperfections, America is still the greatest nation in the world, founded on a unique set of beliefs that still, 250 years later, exist nowhere else on Earth—that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”**
But, I fear that through the divisiveness of men, our nation has strayed from our Father, God, in whom we trust. Our core values and beliefs are not only questioned, but vilified. Thoughtful and respectful debate has been replaced by the suppression of thought and speech. And, so our great culture and society are unraveling. Our nation is losing its identify, and our children are inheriting an increasingly lost and confused world.
So, I started this blog to do my part in bringing light into our world through a weekly prayer.
I pray that, through the Holy Spirit, this blog provides God-inspired, Christ-centered, Biblically true prayer to people that seek hope, peace and purpose in their own lives.
