“My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. Then the nations will know that I the LORD make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.”

Father, Creator, Holy Designer,

Brother, King, Righteous Son of Man,

Holy Spirit, Advocate and Helper,

My heart breaks for your people, the Israelis, with whom you have a holy covenant. It cries for the women and children slaughtered by your enemy, Hamas. It hopes for the people taken hostage, that they will be rescued and recover from this madness and evil. It prays for the Palestinian people held hostage and taken advantage of by Hamas for decades. 

You have set Israel aside:

“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel.”

 - Ezekiel 37:21-22

“Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?”

 - Isaiah 66:8

These prophecies, written millennia ago, were fulfilled in 1948 with the creation of the state of Israel, acknowledged as a sovereign nation by President Harry S. Truman, and the migration of Jews from all over the world back to their promised land. 

Father and brother, may more people see that what is written by your Word, available in the Bible, has come and is still yet to come—that you offer us proof of your life and truth and glory, not only through the prophesied and corroborated life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but also through prophesied events like those shared by Ezekiel and Isaiah. 

Holy Spirit, open people’s eyes to the truth of our Father, God, and of our King, Jesus. That truth and proof are available through the Holy Bible, divinely written, and through the book of nature, divinely created. They need only seek the truth and open their hearts. And, you will enter their hearts and guide them, that they not deny you or turn away for their flesh. 

Christ Jesus, if it is the will of our Father, be with Israel and be with the Palestians—Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike. Walk with them and protect them from these misguided Hamas militant terrorists, evil incarnate, who seek nothing but the complete annihilation of Israel, of your people. Disband and destroy Hamas, and let it be a warning to others. For it is written that, in the time to come, the nations surrounding Israel will attack Israel and be destroyed. And, in that time, let people’s eyes see the Truth, and let their hearts and minds acknowledge the Truth, and turn to you—the Truth, the Light and the only Way.

Holy Spirit, if it is our Father’s will, work on the American people’s hearts. Let those who do not know the history of Israel, Palestine and the Middle East region come to understand through Biblical and secular history. Let them learn and be wise, empathetic and strong. For we cannot tolerate Hamas and hatred and its supporters. If it is your will, let those Americans celebrating Hamas turn their hearts away from this evil and find your Hope in their empty, hopeless lives. For there is nothing but darkness and hopelessness in the path they are walking. And, for those who choose to stay the course and celebrate and support Hamas, let our nation, the United States of America, teach them that, while freedom of speech is our first right, hatred and evil will not be tolerated and will not represent or reflect our nation’s values. Let our nation regain its role as a beacon of light in the world. Let our nation regain its footing as a Christ-led, Christ-inspired nation of morals and strength. 

In Christ’s name I pray and place my hope. To God’s will I submit. And, to the Holy Spirit I turn over my mind, body and spirit to follow God’s good and righteous plan.
